for the past week i have been absolutely obsessed with amy butler’s lotus quilt pattern. and while i covet amy butler’s fabric, they are a bit too funky for me for a project this size. (read: reminds me too much of the house i grew up in from 1974-mid-80s).
in my browsing for fabric i discovered tina givens delicious ‘chloe’s imagination‘ collection. apparently, it is inspired by the designer’s childhood garden in africa. to my sensibilities, it is wonderfully english themes in bold and unexpected colors. i almost couldn’t wait to order the fabric.
luckily, i did and found a great bargain at fabritopia. (whose owner does a great blog.)
after a whole week of waiting, i got these:

oh… the yum.
an eclectic mix and very unlike me. and i think that’s why i can’t wait to finish the quilt.
OOO – more fabric to drool over! I love that quilt and have had it on my list for a while. I can’t wait to see yours!
